Press Release: Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods and VantagePoint 3D Take Home Buying in Exciting New Virtual Direction

Award-Winning Homebuilder to Release Series of "Next Best Thing to Being There" 3D Property Tours Created by Atlanta Entrepreneur, Jon Showe

Atlanta, December 10, 2015 – With a tagline like “All About You,” it’s no wonder why Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods is continually focused on enhancing the home buying experience. In addition to providing stunning new home and townhome communities in many of Metro Atlanta’s most desirable neighborhoods, the award-winning home builder seeks to make the journey from contract signing to closing as positive as possible. However, before the buyer ever gets to the point where they are ready to sign a contract on their new Acadia home, a great deal of research is often done – and a growing percentage of that is conducted online. To develop an exciting new way for home buyers to tour its properties within the digital landscape, Acadia Homes looked to Jon Showe – founder of VantagePoint 3D.

VantagePoint 3D provides virtual property tours shot in spectacular three-dimensional panoramas for the most immersive and hyperreal visual experience in the digital space. By filming Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods’ professionally decorated model homes with this technology, the home builder seeks to create impactful and personal viewing experiences for potential home buyers. VantagePoint 3D presents a groundbreaking new tool that allows the viewer to actually see the Acadia difference.

“Atlanta is a hot market for corporate growth right now, which means major Fortune 500 companies are looking to relocate or launch a division here,” explained Sam Bass, VP of Sales & Marketing for Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods. “Of course, with that growth follows a lot of professionals who may be relocating from across the nation. With this new technology, we can give them a virtual tour of our properties that is truly the next best thing to being there. Prospective home buyers can use their cursor and arrow keys to tour the rooms of the home, spinning in all directions – including up at the ceiling and down at the floor – and close in on specific details, particularly those special design elements upon which we’ve built our reputation. When paired with our floor plan renderings, they can really get a sense of the layout of the home and – hopefully – even envision themselves living there. With these new videos, we are really excited to raise the bar on what is already a great home buying experience. More and more home buyers are researching us online before they visit our communities, and we hope to provide as warm a welcome in the digital space as we do when they walk into our sales office.”

According to the National Association of Realtors® 2015 Profile of Home Buyers and Sellers, 42 percent of recent buyers claim that the first step that they took in the home buying process was to research properties for sale online. In addition, 82 percent of home buyers found websites to be a very useful information source. Among buyers who used the Internet during their home search, 87 percent found photos and 84 percent found detailed information about properties for sale very useful. While Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods already provides stunning images and detailed information about its communities and available properties, the home builder believes its new relationship with VantagePoint 3D will enhance their experience even further.

“Our self-guided tours invite buyers to experience, up close and personal, each design detail,” said Jon Showe, Founder of VantagePoint 3D. “A VantagePoint 3D tour allows prospective clients to walk through each room on every level of the property. All of the high quality finishes Acadia Homes incorporates into their homes are highlighted, while the dollhouse and floor plan views greatly enhance the user’s interaction – giving them a better sense of the space and flow of the home. We celebrate the partnership between Acadia Homes and VantagePoint 3D, and are proud to be part of a team that is leading the way for the future of home buying in Atlanta.”

Technology is not something from which Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods has ever shied away. Currently, their sales offices at Enclave at Wills Park in Alpharetta and Post Oak Glen in Cumming showcase touch screens for viewing floor plans, site maps, area maps and more for an engaging and interactive home buying experience. Plans are underway for sales offices in all future Acadia Homes communities to showcase these interactive touch screens and future model homes to be filmed using the 3D virtual tour technology.
