🌱 Professional Burglars Hit 8 Homes + Cobb Early Voting Results

Good morning, East Cobb! I'm Carla Varner and I'll be your new source for all the events, news, and general happenings in your town. Here is everything you need to know today in five minutes or less.

First, today's weather:

Mostly sunny. High: 82 Low: 60.

Here are the top three stories today in East Cobb:

  1. At least eight Cobb County homes have been burglarized late at night by a crew of professional thieves who have stolen jewelry, cash, and guns. Multi-million dollar homes have been the target of these sophisticated thieves working around metro Atlanta. Police have identified a pattern whereby the thieves enter through a rear window when residents are not home and typically take jewelry, guns, and even cars. (Yahoo News)
  2. In the first week of Cobb's early voting, Republican voters came out strong casting 7,350 ballots. Democrats cast 4,646, and 176 voted Non-Partisan. Sample ballots are accessible and customizable online. Early voting continues this week from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m, and from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. (East Cobb News)
  3. Cobb Commissioner Jerica Richardson postponed her scheduled town hall meeting Tuesday night at the Sewell Mill Library and Cultural Center due to an unforeseen circumstance. Richardson was planning on going over her 2022 policy agenda. Her office stated that a new date and time will be sent out once everything is set. (East Cobb News)
