Rash of Car Break-Ins Reported in East Cobb

Cobb County police are reminding East Cobb residents to practice caution when leaving valuables in cars after a several vehicles were broken into last week.

According to East Cobber Magazine, cars parked at both YMCA locations in East Cobb were targeted by thieves who smashed out windows and stole valuables which were kept in plain sight. Police are hoping the public can help stop these crimes before they happen by following some common safety procedures.

Motorists should try to avoid keeping valuables in their cars, or at least keep them out of plain sight. If you’d rather keep them in your trunk, police stress that you should do it at home to avoid the prying eyes of would-be thieves. Lastly, drivers are reminded to always lock their cars.
