Is School in Session in East Cobb Today?

Cobb County’s students and teachers will have another day off due to the brutal winter conditions expected to persist in the area throughout Tuesday morning.

The school district announced the cancellation just before 10 o’clock Monday night, stating that the threat of icy roads prompted the decision. The temperature in East Cobb is expected to be around 29 degrees at bus pick-up time on Tuesday and is not expected to get above freezing until late morning, according to the National Weather Service.

Although teachers and students do not have to report, 260-day employees should report to work at the usual time if their route is safe. 240-day employees should wait until 11 a.m. to report, provided they can get to work safely.
