Three Dog Fright: Firefighters Rescue Pooches from East Cobb Blaze
One of the dogs needed treatment with a special oxygen mask due to smoke inhalation, firefighters said.

Cobb County firefighters were called on to save a family’s pets as a fire ravaged their home in East Cobb on Thursday.
When crews arrived at the home on North Landing Drive, neighbors told them that the human occupants weren’t home, but there were three dogs and a cat inside who needed rescuing, WSB-TV said. Firefighters rescued the three dogs from the back of the home, which was engulfed in flames.
A pair of golden retrievers made it out of the blaze more or less unscathed, but a small chihuahua had suffered smoke inhalation and required a specially-designed oxygen mask which fit over the dog’s muzzle. The trio were taken to a local vet, and all should recover.
