MARIETTA, GA — After over a year of closure, the Tim D. Lee Senior Center reopened Monday.

The center, which was known as the East Cobb Senior Center until it was renamed in December after the late Board of Commissioners Chairman, was closed for renovations and repairs, according to the Cobb County Courier. While other senior centers reopened in Sep. 2020, TLSC remained closed due to renovation delays.

The center began its new operations with a free blood pressure analysis, courtesy of Heritage of Sandy Plains, and a virtual class on creating art from autumn leaves. Starting Tuesday, the Center will host a three-week investing and taxes workshop, for which there is a waiting list.
