Preview: The Lady Raiders (7-7, 1-2) sit tied for fourth place in the 5-AAAAA region standings and need to find a way to beat the region’s top-ranked Etowah Lady Eagles (13-2, 4-0). Walton has lost their last three games and will face a stingy Etowah defense.

Teams: vs. Marietta

Time: 6 p.m.

Where: Marietta High School

Preview: Wheeler (6-6, 1-2) is riding a three-game winning streak, but is looking up at Marietta (5-9, 3-1) in the 5-AAAAA standings. Wheeler’s scoring is driven by Aysia Grimsley, who will need to excel on Tuesday against a Marietta defense that gives up just 46 points per game.

Teams: Pope vs. Villa Rica

Time: 6 p.m.

Where: Villa Rica High School

Preview: Pope (12-2, 2-2) has only dropped two games all season – both have been in 5-AAAA region play. Villa Rica (8-6, 3-1) has won their last two games, and sits ahead of Pope in the regional standings. But this is anyone’s basketball game on Tuesday. No team in the region gives up fewer points per game than Pope, who desperately need some wins to climb the regional ranks.
