Walton Finally Has a Home Game

While the Raiders will be playing host to Woodstock, Wheeler tries to stay unbeaten against Etowah and Pope travels to Northview.

After a grueling early schedule, the Walton High School football team finally gets to play at Raider Valley. 

A familiar environment may be just what the Raiders need tonight against Woodstock after last week's 49-14 pounding at the hands of North Cobb. 

Walton, which is 2-1 and ranked No. 6 in Class AAAAAA, meets Region 5-AAAAAA rival Woodstock in a 7:30 p.m. kickoff.

Wheeler is 3-0, its best start since 1997, and plays at home at 7:30 in its Region 5-AAAAAA opener at Etowah, which is 1-2.

Pope (1-2) which outlasted Etowah overtime for its first win of the season, visits Northview (0-2) at 7:30 in its first game against another Class AAAAA opponent.

Lassiter (3-0), ranked No. 2 in Class AAAAAA, travels to Cherokee (1-2) in a 7:30 game that is the Region 5-AAAAAA opener for both schools.
