Wheeler, Pope Hoops Hit the Road
Some midweek highlights on this week's high school sports calendar.

1. Prepping For A Rivalry - Before clashing with Walton on Friday at the Douglas Lipscomb Gym, the Wheeler basketball squads play on the road Tuesday in an out-of-county doubleheader.
After holding off Norcross last Saturday in the Nike Explosion event, the Wheeler boys (2-0) will play at Woodstock in a doubleheader tipped off by the girls game that starts at 6 p.m. The Wheeler girls (3-2) are coming off a 51-42 win over Harrison on Saturday.
2. Leading The Raiders - Walton is off the basketball courts until Friday. The MDJ profiles Walton senior basketball player Sarah Durdaller, who averages a double-double -- 19.3 points and 17.3 rebounds a game. Her talents have earned her a scholarship offer from Furman University.

3. Pope Hoopsters Visit East Paulding -- Coming off big wins against Kell on Friday, both Greyhound teams also hit the road on Tuesday.
3. Pope Takes On Kell, Sprayberry -- Fresh off their victory in last weekend's Walton Duals, the Pope wrestlers travel to Sprayberry Wednesday for a tri-meet that includes Kell. A busy stretch continues for the Greyhounds, who are off to Florida this weekend for the Brandon Duals, followed by more events in December in Tennessee and Ohio.

4. Walker School Teams Stay Busy -- All the winter teams are in action Tuesday, as the varsity basketball teams are at Darlington, wrestling plays host to South Cobb and swimming is at St. Francis.
