Would you know how to help your loved one who is choking?

Approximately 2,500 people die from choking every year and even more people choke.

Choking typically occurs around food. So you are talking, drinking, eating, having a good time and then suddenly your airway is blocked, you cannot breathe and you start to panic.

So would you know what to do if your child was choking?
One of the first things to do is to signal for help which we show how to signal in this very short video so take a moment to watch https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sGW....
Anyone who is trained in choking techniques will recognize your signal for help (remember you cannot speak or make sound when you are choking) and may to come to help you.
Some of the most dangerous choking items are: hotdogs, grapes, popcorn, balloons, peanuts and steak. So chew your food well, don’t talk with food in your mouth and sit while eating.
Better yet! Take CPR class to know what to do in a choking emergency.
We teach in the Atlanta area and you can find a class close to you or you can set up a class at your location.
