Kemp: Cirkla to Bring 140 New Jobs to Hall County (allongeorgia.com) — Gainesville is set to gain about 140 new jobs as Cirkla opens a $5 million food packaging manufacturing facility at the Gainesville 85 Business Center. Local and state leaders say the plant, tied to the new Gainesville Inland Port, will strengthen Hall County's role in sustainable packaging and food processing.
   

• Defective equipment, speeding, wreck, foot chase = jail & immigration 'hold' (wgtjradio.com) — Hall County deputies say a Gainesville man faces numerous charges after allegedly speeding on Athens Street, crashing his pickup on East Ridge Road, and trying to run from officers. He was evaluated by medical personnel, then jailed on traffic, DUI, and obstruction counts and is being held on bond with an immigration detainer.
   

• Industrial growth along I-85 drives rapid population gains in Jackson County (fox5atlanta.com) — Rapid industrial growth along I‑85 is driving big population gains in Jackson County, with former Hall County residents saying Jefferson now feels as crowded as Gainesville. New plants like Siemens' Pendergrass facility are bringing high‑paying jobs, while officials work on ways to manage traffic and suburban sprawl affecting Hall, Barrow, and nearby communities.
