Have you heard about the Revolution? The Pet Revolution!! During this year the Gwinnett County Animal Welfare & Enforcement Center has hosted many events that fit into a new theme at the shelter. “Revolutionizing Pet Ownership Today For The Pets Of Tomorrow!!”
Beginning Friday October 11, 2013 at 7:00pm and running around the clock until Saturday October 12, 2013 at 7:00pm the Gwinnett County Animal Welfare & Enforcement Center will be hosting the MEGA Pet Revolution Event at the shelter! This event will include several fun things for you and your family around the clock! Events include the "Run Fur Their Lives 5K" race, the "Kitty Crawl Fun Run", the "Bone To Be Wild" motorcycle ride, rescue and shelter adoptions, educational seminars, shot clinics, an artisan market, games, food and lots of fun!
As part of the Pet Revolution Event, the Center is hosting a MEGA 24 hour Spay/Neuter Event! Spays and Neuters will be done for $30. Volunteer veterinarians will be working around the clock to provide high quality, low cost spays and neuters for as many citizens as possible. This is limited to only 2 animals per household. In addition, no animals that are pregnant, in heat, feral, or cryptorchid will be accepted. We are providing this service as incentive for the community to continue to participate in the efforts to help stop the high numbers of homeless animals being brought into the shelter.
