• After numerous wrecks on property, Gwinnett couple asks county to do more to curb speeding on their street (11alive.com) — A Gwinnett County couple living on Bailey Woods Road near Dacula is pleading with county officials for stronger speed‑control measures after six crashes have damaged their property since 2009, including one last week. The county has added signs and new radar feedback devices, but the couple wants tougher steps like speed bumps, warning that lives in their neighborhood are at risk.
   

• 2 critically injured after fire at Gwinnett County home, officials say (fox5atlanta.com) — Two people are in critical condition after firefighters rescued a trapped resident from a basement during an early‑morning house fire on Park Place Drive in Lawrenceville. Gwinnett County Fire Rescue says six adults and a dog were displaced, smoke alarms were not working, and investigators are still determining what sparked the blaze.
