Cancer 101, What You Need to Know – November 18, 1PM – presented by Gwinnett Library

What is cancer? Are there ways to prevent it? What are some of the methods used to detect cancer? Come join biologist and CancerQuest Director Dr. Gregg Orloff as he answers these and many more questions, bringing a better understanding of cancer and educating and empowering cancer patients, their caregivers, and members of the general public.

“Cancer 101” is presented by Gwinnett County Public Library in partnership with CancerQuest, a non-profit cancer education and outreach program at Emory University that provides reliable information about cancer biology and treatment. This is a free workshop and takes place on November 18 at 1:00pm at the Five Forks Branch, 2780 Five Forks Trickum Rd, Lawrenceville 30044.
