Did you know that there are over 100 pain clinics in Gwinnett County?
Would you know the difference between a legitimate pain management doctor's office and a pill mill?
Pill mills refer to pain clinics that provide prescription drugs to clients inappropriately or for non-medical reasons. Usually, these clinics have many clients from out of state. According to the Georgia Drug and Narcotics Agency, in 2010 there were fewer than 10 pill mills in Georgia (Brumback, 2013). At this time, there are over 100 pill mills in Gwinnett County.
