Edo-abasi McGee Joins Suwanee School of Pharmacy as Assistant Professor

PCOM School of Pharmacy's Suwanee campus welcomed Edo-abasi U. McGee, PharmD, as a new Assistant Professor for Pharmacy Practice.

(SUWANEE, GA – April 28, 2015) This month, the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM) School of Pharmacy’s Suwanee campus welcomed Edo-abasi U. McGee, PharmD, as a new Assistant Professor for Pharmacy Practice.

Dr. McGee earned a Doctor of Pharmacy degree at the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia – formerly the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy – in 2007. She came to Georgia to complete a Post-Graduate Year 1 (PGY-1) residency program at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta in 2008. Prior to joining PCOM School of Pharmacy in Suwanee, Dr. McGee served as a University of Georgia Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE) preceptor for internal medicine with a focus on antimicrobial stewardship at Athens Regional Medical Center where she also worked as a clinical pharmacist. She now lives in Grayson, Georgia, and holds certification in Making a Difference in Infectious Disease (MAD-ID) and is a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS).

In particular, Dr. McGee’s practice and research interests include antimicrobial stewardship and pharmacodynamics dosing of antimicrobials. She presented lectures at the Athens Regional Medical Center Physician Noon Conferences in 2012, presented a poster at the MAD-ID 15th annual meeting in Orlando, Florida, presented at the University of Georgia’s 39th annual Southeastern Residency Conference CE program in Athens, Georgia, and is an active member of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy. In addition, she volunteers as a pharmacist at the Gwinnett Community Clinic in Snellville.
