Gwinnett SToPP Presents Workshop with Department of Education Office of Civil Rights, December 6

A free workshop is being offered to parents in Gwinnett County and throughout Georgia to promote effective education advocacy. The federal Department of Education Office of Civil Rights will be on hand to explain what steps parents need to take if they feel their child is unfairly targeted for excessive school discipline. The event also includes training for Local School Councils - both for school council members to effectively evaluate the data for their school as well as how parents can best turn to the LCS to help them advocate for the rights of their children.
