Writer's Workshop with Children's Author Heather Montgomery - Nov 7, 1PM - Gwinnett Library's Five Forks Branch

Heather Montgomery has turned her fascination of all things creepy-crawly into a career as a bestselling children’s author of science and nature books. Her subject matter ranges from snake tongues to snail poop and she’ll be sharing all the squishy details about her latest release, How Rude, Real Bugs Who Won’t Mind Their Manners, as well as tools and tips for the non-fiction writer. As an award-winning teacher, Montgomery uses yuck appeal to engage young minds and motivate hesitant writers.
Gwinnett County Public Library, in partnership with The Southern Breeze region of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators, present this FREE writer’s workshop to be held on Saturday, November 7 beginning at 1pm at the library’s Five Forks Branch, 2780 Five Forks Trickum Road, Lawrenceville 30044. Writers may bring the first page of their own children’s non-fiction work for critique.
