Are you looking for grants to fund your nonprofit? Learn how with Gwinnett County Public Library and the Foundation Center-Atlanta. Stephen Sherman, the Senior Librarian at the Foundation Center, will help you discover what funders want in nonprofits seeking grants and how to find potential funders. You will spend time exploring Power Search which allows you to search across nine Foundation Center databases: grant makers, grants, companies, 990s, news, jobs, RFPs, nonprofit literature, and IssueLab reports.

Sherman will also teach you the 10 most important things you need to know about finding grants including:

· Who funds nonprofits and what are their motivations

· How do you identify potential funders and make the first approach
