Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get.
Gump survived heartworm treatments and a tail full of buckshot. Now she's looking for her forever home.

When a high kill animal shelter contacted Furkids about a heartworm positive dog with a tail full of buckshot, we didn’t know what all to expect but we jumped at the chance to help Gump. Despite the negligence and downright evil that Gump had experienced, she greeted us with a wiggle butt and lots of kisses. Gump still had a great spirit and we knew she would make it through the heartworm treatment and the inevitable tail amputation with flying colors. She did. Gump is healthy and heartworm free and eager to find her forever home. Gump is about as loving and affectionate as they come. There’s nothing Gump wants more than to snuggle close to her person. At 26 lbs., Gump requires a rather large lap but she seems unaware of that. Gump is eager to meet new friends and trusting of humans. She is playful with other dogs however she is NOT good with cats. Gump is an athletic girl and can jump as high as five feet quite effortlessly. If she could pick up a basketball she would sink shots from half court! Whatever your game, you’ll want Gump on your team.
Since Gump is 2 years old, her adoption fee is $275 unless you have a senior or military ID, then you get an extra 25% off! Apply now to meet me at Furkids.org or email dogadoptions@furkids.org with questions.
Furkids is a 501c3 nonprofit charitable organization that operates the largest cage-free, no-kill shelter in the Southeast for rescued cats and a no-kill shelter for dogs. At these locations, animals experience the best care in a loving, safe environment until they are adopted into forever homes. The Furkids mission is to help end pet overpopulation in Georgia through sterilization, high-quality adoption and by providing valuable spay/neuter services and pet care education to people in the community. Furkids cares for more animals on a daily basis than any other local organization and has rescued and altered more than 15,000 animals since its founding in 2002. Approximately 1,000 cats and dogs are in the Furkids program today, in the Furkids shelters, 14 PetSmart and Petco adoption centers and more than 400 foster homes.
