Mill Creek Students Building Electric Race Car

Students to compete in "Run for the Peaches" race in May.

A team consisting of five juniors and five seniors currently enrolled within the Engineering Program at Mill Creek High School were recently selected to take part in the building of Mill Creek's first Electrathon race car.

Starting with no knowledge at all on building an electric race car, Mr. Burrows, the advisor of this project set out to get the tools, information, and equipment needed to make it possible.

Currently, the team has constructed a frame and acquired the circuitry needed for the engine, but there is still a long way to go before they race on May 11 at the third annual Run for the Peaches in Quitman, Georgia.
