Norcross Woman Arrested for Taking Teens to Buy Pot

A Norcross woman was arrested for allegedly taking teenagers to get drugs, according to the Johns Creek Police Department.

Here's what happened, based on the police incident report:

On Sept. 7, a Johns Creek Police officer patrolling the Rivermont neighborhood noted three individuals standing at the rear of a car parked in front of a building where multiple narcotics arrests had been made in the past.

The police officer questioned the individuals, who said they were waiting for one of their aunts. The officer left the area, but stayed where he could see them.

A short time later, the vehicle pulled away with five subjects inside. The vehicle's rear brake light was out, so the officer pulled it over on Holcomb Bridge Road. When the officer signaled the car to pull it over, two items were thrown out of the car.

Once other police units arrived on the scene, the officer was able to go back and recover marijuana that had been thrown from the vehicle. The officer also noted a marijuana odor coming from the car.

The officer asked the subjects who threw the marijuana out of the car, and they said they didn't know. All five were arrested and then released to their parents.

The driver, a 22-year-old female from Norcross, said the subjects did go to the location at Rivermont to purchase the drugs.

A 15-year-old male from Johns Creek, two 15-year-old males from Roswell, a 15-year-old female from Morganton and the woman from Norcross were arrested and charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana.

The 22-year-old was also charged with disorderly conduct for driving the juveniles to the location to purchase drugs.
