The clock is ticking till the magic begins. Join the cast of the Northeast Atlanta Ballet as they bring to life the enchanting story of Cinderella. This classic tale features the comedic antics of the ugly stepsisters, magical fairies, and a classic love story of a beautiful young girl and her prince.

The nasty sisters depart for the ball and Cinderella is left sad and alone. Soon after, her mystical fairy godmother ushers in the changes of the seasons as Cinderella is transformed into a princess. She is whisked away in a magical carriage to the palace of Prince Charming. In search of a bride, Prince Charming hosts an exquisite ball for the fair ladies of the kingdom. When Cinderella arrives, escorted by her magical entourage, it is love at first site! Don’t let the clock strike midnight….or you might miss your chance to see this exquisite production.

“This is the 4th time that Northeast Atlanta Ballet has presented this spectacular production”, states Board President, Marsha Byokawski. “The scenery is unsurpassed. Our custom designed scenery for Act 1 was built in Atlanta by professional scenic artists. “It takes 12 people to move this set as it transforms to the forest scene where Cinderella meets the Fairy Godmother.” “While Northeast Atlanta Ballet is known for having the most elaborate costumes in town (for all 15 or our full length productions), Cinderella has some of the most gorgeous tutus in our extensive collection. They were custom designed and built by a costume house in Russia!”, exclaims Jennifer Gordon, Artistic Director.

We are also excited to announce that this season’s production of Cinderella will have live music at all 5 performances! Gwinnett Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Robert Trocina, will provide over 35 musicians. This marks the first time in our eight-year partnership that we have been able to obtain royalties for Prokofiev’s sumptuous score. “Excited is an understatement”, says Gordon. “We were so disappointed that we were not able to budget the royalties back in 2011. (The last time Cinderella was performed.) This is going to be some production.”

The Northeast Atlanta Ballet has been serving our community for nearly 20 years. We have remained true to our mission of providing top quality training for aspiring dancers, and, providing affordable, professional quality performances for our community. Gwinnett County is fortunate to have many arts groups. Unfortunately, many of the group’s ticket pricing puts live performances out of reach for many families. Northeast Atlanta Ballet ticket prices have remained affordable by securing local sponsorship and through the thousands of labor hours that are generously donated by our untiring volunteers.

Families will laugh and those crazy stepsisters and marvel at the dynamic dancers, inspiring music, regal costumes, and superb scenery. Don’t miss out on this truly memorable experience! Perfect for audiences of all ages.
