Officer Arrives Less Than 90 Seconds After Dispatch, Burglar Already Gone

By the time Gwinnett County Police arrived at the -- less than 90 seconds after being dispatched to the alarm call -- the person who burglarized the store was gone.

Gwinnett County Police responded to a burglar alarm call at the business shortly after midnight on Aug. 23. According to the incident report, the first responding officer “arrived on scene in less than one minute and 30 seconds.” The officer further noted that no vehicles were seen leaving the business or on Harbins Road while enroute to the Texaco.

Despite the fast response time, the burglar had enough time to smash the glass front door of the store, enter the business and open both cash registers.
