Press Release: Lanier Islands Melts Wintertime Blues with 500 Hot New Jobs by the Lake
Georgia Resort Currently Hiring a Large Number of Positions to Prepare for Two Busiest Seasons

Buford, Ga. – March 13, 2015 – As Georgians thaw out from the latest rounds of winter storms, Lanier Islands already has its sights firmly focused on Spring and Summer 2015. While the Southern lakeside resort hopes to continue to show its patrons that it offers so much “more than a lake” by securing its anchor as a four-season resort – it is perhaps best known as a warm weather destination for its LanierWorld beach and boardwalk entertainment district. To prepare for its two busiest seasons of the year, Lanier Islands is currently hiring up to 500 positions over the course of the next couple of months.
To date, the largest number of employees the resort has ever had on staff was 1000, at the height of the summer season at LanierWorld – to help man the ticket booths, waterslides, lifeguard stands, beaches, docks, restaurants and boardwalk shops. With the addition of 500 new positions – 450 of which will be at LanierWorld with the remaining 50+ at other venues and positions resort-wide – the Islands will draw close to record numbers once again this year.
“We are very proud to be one of Hall County’s larger employers,” explains Sandra Grindy, Director of Human Resources for Lanier Islands. “As a major provider of Southern Hospitality here in Georgia, we feel familiar smiling faces are extremely reassuring to our returning guests and biggest fans. To that end, some of our team members who join us this Spring and Summer will be invited to be an integral part of SnowWorld when it returns during the holiday and Winter seasons at the end of this year.”
