Roof Collapses in Norcross Apartment Fire

A total of 26 people have been temporarily relocated due to the Wednesday blaze on Seasons Parkway near I-85.

A large apartment fire reported late Wednesday morning in the Norcross area has no reported injuries but has temporarily displaced 26 people.

That number includes 19 adults and seven children, according to a news release from Lt. Colin Rhoden.

The blaze was contained to only one building, but eight apartments will be vacated due to the fire and power being turned off by responders.

The release says it took nearly half an hour for firefighters to control the flames, which took place at 1311 Seasons Parkway in unincorporated Norcross. Upon arrival at 11:46 a.m., crews found the upper apartments on the left side of the building heavily involved with fire and about to collapse.
