Snellville Cops and Robbers Run set for Oct. 11

The run benefits the Snellville Citizen's Police Academy Alumni Association and the Gwinnett Sunrise Rotary Club.

Runners can help two area charities at the Cops and Robbers 5K and 10K runs Oct. 11.

The run, which follows a course through Briscoe Park and its surrounding neighborhoods, benefits the Snellville Citizen’s Police Academy Alumni Association and the Gwinnett Sunrise Rotary Club.

The 10K will start at 8 a.m. and the 5K will begin at 9 a.m. Registration/ check-in will open at 7 a.m. at the park on Lenora Church Road.

The SCPAAA provides support to the Snellville Police Department including the K-9 Unit for the purchase of canines, insurance and other necessities. The Rotary Club is active in supporting many civic projects, including the Community Garden @Snellville.

Pre-registration fee is $25 and ends Oct. 4. Day of registration fee is $35.

Both races require runners to be 13 years and older. Runners over the age of 9 must be accompanied on the run with an adult.

To register online, go to www.eventbrite.com and search events for “2014 Cops and Robbers Run”. Or you can go to the website at www.copsandrobbersrun.net, print out an application and then mail it and a check made payable to SCPAAA to P.O. Box 1203, Snellville, GA 30078.
