TEDxDaculaHighSchool - DO YOU HAVE AN IDEA WORTH SPREADING?
Apply to be a speaker at TEDxDaculaHighSchool (Oct. 17th, 2015) to be a part of the first TEDx Youth event in Gwinnett County!
“Dacula High School is a community which welcomes every discipline and culture in the world, and through TEDxDaculaHighSchool, DHS can passionately thrive on the power of ideas to change attitudes, lives, and ultimately, the world.”
Background:
- On October 17, 2015 Dacula High School will be hosting its first-ever TEDx event to cultivate, revolutionize, and spread incredible ideas from the city of Dacula, Georgia. Despite the fact that Dacula was once a small rural city just 30 years ago, Dacula has grown with tremendous speed to become an extremely well known city not only in Gwinnett County, but throughout Georgia. In addition, a huge part of Dacula’s rapid growth has been due to its families, and with its families, the young people. The youth support Dacula with the cultures they define and the passions they work toward. With the half-day TEDx event happening within the heart of Dacula on October 17th, the TEDxDaculaHighSchool Team plans to facilitate an incredible, thought-provoking, and motivational event to ignite the ideas of youth today.
TEDxDaculaHighSchool:
- A TEDx event is an individually organized event from TED and is an organization to curate ideas.
- No idea is too small! A TEDx talk can be just about anything!
- Anyone can be a speaker! Whether you are an adult or a freshman in high school, there are no age limits. All you need is an idea worth spreading!
- TEDx is: Non-profit, idea-sharing, innovative, community-based, and revolutionary.
- Fueled by ideas worth sharing
- Multiple speakers and presenters discuss their ideas worth sharing through the conference.
- Speakers present their ideas throughout the conference to curate ideas with a 100 person audience.
