Our goal at Purple Women is to teach women that our God is a God of restoration. He will restore every area of your life. Gwinnett County Police have arrested two people in connection with separate purse snatching incidents targeting elderly women. Charles Shannon Smith, 41, of Flowery Branch, and Tanya Elizabeth Parker, 36, of Buford, were booked into the Gwinnett County Jail on March 27 -- each on two counts of robbery -- and are being held without bond. According to GCPD public information officer Cpl. Jake Smith, the two were tracked down after a witness to a March 25 purse-snatching at the Buford Walmart provided police with a tag number of the suspect's vehicle. Detectives spoke with the registered owner of the vehicle who provided police with information regarding who had the vehicle at the time of the purse snatching.
