Unincorporated Lawrenceville’s Alcohol Compliance Rate is at 82%

Underage drinking is an important issue that continues to require our attention in Gwinnett County. One way that helps reduce the access our teens have to alcohol is through conducting compliance checks. During these checks, an underage decoy goes inside a restaurant or store and tries to purchase alcohol. If an employee sells to the decoy, he or she receives a citation. This serves as a clear reminder and expectation to check IDs and not sell alcohol to those under 21.

GUIDE would like to recognize and show appreciation to the Unincorporated Lawrenceville retailers that did not sell alcohol during compliance checks from October 2018 to March 2019. These stores help us to ensure the teens in our community stay safe.
