Unincorporated Snellville’s Alcohol Compliance Rate is at 89%

The Gwinnett County Police Department compliance check results from October 2017 to March 2018 are in for Unincorporated Snellville.

Underage drinking is an important issue that continues to require our attention in Gwinnett County. One way that helps reduce the access our teens have to alcohol is through conducting compliance checks. During these checks, an underage decoy goes inside a restaurant or store and tries to purchase alcohol. If an employee sells to the decoy, he or she receives a citation. This serves as a clear reminder and expectation to check IDs and not sell alcohol to those under 21.

GUIDE would like to recognize and show appreciation to the Unincorporated Snellville retailers that did not sell alcohol during compliance checks from October 2017 to March 2018. These stores help us to ensure the teens in our community stay safe.
