Unincorporated Suwanee’s Alcohol Compliance Rate is at 73%!

The Gwinnett County Police Department compliance check results from April 2017-September 2017 are in for Unincorporated Suwanee.

Underage drinking is a serious issue that continues to require our attention in Gwinnett County. One way that helps reduce the access our teens have to alcohol is through conducting compliance checks. During these checks, an underage decoy goes inside a restaurant or store and tries to purchase alcohol. If an employee sells to the decoy, he or she receives a citation. This serves as a clear reminder and expectation to check IDs and not sell alcohol to those under 21.

GUIDE would like to take the time to recognize and show appreciation to the awesome stores that did not sell alcohol during compliance check sweeps between April 2017 and September 2017. These stores help us to ensure the teens in our community stay safe.
