Truth. This must be the most subjective word on the planet. Why? Because, so many people claim to know one truth or the other. Yet most are at odds with one another. Who is right. One of them? If you ask them one at a time, they all are. But they all believe something different. Christianity is like this. It turns out that Islam is as well. I have never heard Buddhists doing this. Yet, I’m sure they do. How 100 people can read the same thing and have 100 different beliefs about what they read stumps me. And all 100 are right. Or so they believe. It is for this purpose. I dig deep.
For me the big question is. Are there any absolutes? I have very few in my life. Mainly because I am not one that believes something, just because everyone else does. I do deep studies on things that matter to me. Like death, God, physics, neuroscience, history, and much more. Did you know that in America, some history has been changed in the school books? That is scary. History happened. So absolutes exist. I do these studies because I want real truth, real absolutes. Not generational or regional truth. Generational is past down, and regional is more about the area we are in, and what is the belief system there. Maybe the country itself. Stripping away dogma, opinion, doctrines, traditions and ideas are key to finding anything historically true.

Question everything. For me, I have to do this. I have never understood why everyone doesn’t care enough to do this. Truth is seldom what is handed to you. Truth is earned. It may be free. But all the other roadblocks I mentioned before will be covering it up. Remove them and dig. Truth can be painful. This recently helped me to understand the chemicals involved in understanding real love. It helped me understand the truth of quantum wave theory. In science, it use to be that something went from theory to proven science when something could be repeated sufficiently. Now, because of wave theory, this seems to have changed. If you Google the “Double Slit Test”, you can see a video of this amazing work. Subatomic particles behave differently when they are observed. Although this can be repeated a zillion times, it’s a theory until it can be explained why. Since my wee brain can make up it’s own mind. That is proven science to me. A zillion is enough. My truth, as it were.
Almost everyone believes what they believe is the only real truth. And they are baffled why everyone doesn’t think the exact same way. After all. They came to their truth honestly. And, they know so many others that know the same truth as well. So, it their truth really truth. To them it is. Of course. It is subjective. This because there are others that have looked at all the same things they base their truth on a arrived at a different truth. Even though they all believe they have “absolute truth”, anyone outside looking in sees something very different from that. They see a variety of things. Not many of them good at all. Intolerance, bigotry, and hypocrisy mostly. As a person that questions dogma. I get my share of those that misunderstand my intentions. I am attacked by some, and shunned by others. I refer back to “intolerance” again.

I have a gigantic social media platform. I have been building it with intention for almost six years. With this, I can watch the ugliness, hatred, intolerance, incessant rants, and bigotry go by in fast forward. Sad to watch, goes against what most say they believe, but it’s prevalent in this American society. For me, it’s a mixture of a study, writing material, and learning the human condition. I also visit small towns several times a week. I meet so many great folks that way. I have learned something very important by doing this. None of the people I meet face to face are ever this way. They are friendly and loving. It makes me wonder if the digital world has given us the wrong kind of freedom? Freedom from morality. Freedom to treat others poorly or unjustly. I’ll be processing that for a while. Wish me luck.
