Who Was the Fastest from Gwinnett in Peachtree Road Race?

Steven Spevacek from Lilburn and Kellie Clayton from Dacula were Gwinnett County's fastest feet in the Peachtree Road Race, held Thursday, July 4, in Atlanta.

More than 55,000 runners participated in the annual 10-kilometer race down Peachtree Street.

According to results posted on the Atlanta Track Club's website, Spevacek, 20, finished 70th overall in a time of 32 minutes, 48 seconds. He was a second faster than Matt Haley of Buford, who was 71st overall.

Spevavek finished 55th in last year's race.

Clayton, 31, was Gwinnett's fastest women. She ran the race in 41:13 and was 89th overall among the women entrants.
