• DCA Awards $40.9 Million in CDBG Grant Funds (savannahceo.com) — Hawkinsville is set to receive $1 million in federal Community Development Block Grant funds for Phase I sewer upgrades in the South Union Street Revitalization Area, with the city adding $100,000 in matching money. The project will improve infrastructure for about 60 residents, most of whom are low-to-moderate income, as part of a broader $40.9 million package awarded to rural Georgia communities.
