When firefighters arrived, officials said they discovered a "complex situation."

A resident, who was not injured, was not able to escape the home, fire officials said.

The downed tree caused a power outage in the home, the department said.

Crews worked to illuminate the area and were able to extricate the resident without incident, fire officials said.

It is unknown what caused the tree to fall.

"Mission driven and highly trained, our crews are always ready to respond," fire officials said.
