• City of Kennesaw Celebrates Opening of New Public Safety Facility (cobbcountycourier.com) — Kennesaw has officially opened a new 25,000-square-foot Public Safety Facility on Moon Station Road, consolidating police operations and adding technology like a Real-Time Crime Center and virtual training room. Funded entirely by SPLOST, the building replaces aging spaces and gives officers better tools, fitness and K-9 areas, and a community room designed to strengthen public safety and neighborhood engagement.
• How Well Do You Know Cobb County? A Weekly Quiz (cobbcountycourier.com) — A new Cobb County Courier quiz tests how well you know Kennesaw and its neighbors, from which city just opened a public safety facility to which Kennesaw State undergraduate program tops its category in Georgia. You'll also be quizzed on the Battle of Kennesaw Mountain, the Silver Comet Trail's starting point, and where the North Georgia State Fair is happening, all tailored to deepen your local knowledge.
• Kennesaw State researcher developing safer, more efficient computing systems for intelligent vehicles (newswise.com) — A Kennesaw State University computer science researcher is using a major National Science Foundation grant to design safer, more efficient computing systems for intelligent vehicles, work taking place right here in Kennesaw. The project will prioritize critical driving functions, boost security, and involve KSU students at multiple levels, potentially positioning the city as a hub for cutting-edge vehicle technology research.
