• Police: 13-year-old middle schooler arrested after stabbing student several times with scissors (11alive.com) — A student at LaGrange's Gardner Newman Middle School was arrested after another 13-year-old was reportedly stabbed multiple times with scissors during a fight Monday afternoon. Police say the injured student's condition is still unknown, and investigators are asking anyone with information to contact Det. Everhart or submit an anonymous Tip411 message.
   

• 32 students inducted into 2026-2027 LaGrange Youth Council (wrbl.com) — LaGrange has officially sworn in 32 junior and senior high students to serve on the 2026-2027 LaGrange Youth Council, giving local youth a direct voice with city leaders. Members will meet monthly during the school year to tackle a key issue affecting young people and the broader community while gaining hands-on experience with the mayor and council.
