He was arrested during a traffic stop Sunday in the area of Holcomb Bridge Road and Peachtree Corners Circle, police said. Officers in the footage say the location was in the 7000 block of Jimmy Carter Boulevard.

He was accused of driving more than 70 mph in a 45 mph zone in a Tesla Cybertruck, an officer can be heard telling him.

Before the officer attempted the traffic stop, police said the officer had to drive about 80 mph to catch up to King Harris, who had begun to slow down to 60 mph.

Police accused him of "drifting within and outside of his lane and failing to use turn signals."

In the body camera video, it appears King Harris - dressed in a Pikachu onesie - told the officer that he did not realize how fast he was driving. Police said he told the officer he was heading to grab food.

Sometime during the stop, a back-and-forth appeared to ensue between the officer and King Harris as he was accused of not complying with the officer's commands to exit the vehicle.

Police said a handgun was visible on the Tesla's dashboard. In the footage, the officer said an open THC container was in the console.

"Due to the firearm being within the driver’s immediate reach, Harris was asked to step out of the vehicle so the officer could safely complete the traffic stop and address the observed traffic violations," police said.

King Harris was accused of repeatedly refusing to get out of the Tesla - at which point, the officer can be heard in the video telling him that he was being arrested. King Harris can be seen and heard speaking with his attorney, who ultimately advised he get out of the car.

When dad Clifford Harris arrives to the scene, officers can be heard explaining to him the situation. Clifford Harris then asks if his son "expressed his fear for safety."

"So, there's absolutely no way to resolve this," he asked, to which police told him no.

Ultimately, King Harris was arrested on charges of speeding, seat belt violation, willful obstruction of law enforcement officers and VGCSA possession of a schedule II controlled substance, Gwinnett County Jail records showed.

While at the jail, police said an oxycodone pill was found on his person.

King Harris spent merely hours in the jail, records showed. He was booked around 2:30 a.m. and was released around 8:15 a.m. on a $4,545 bond.

During the stop, the officer reportedly smelled marijuana coming from King Harris' BMW and also noticed a gun that was allegedly on his hip. Ultimately, he was arrested during the stop.

The charges in Pickens were eventually dismissed, WAGA-TV reported.
