Life sentence for Norcross man in assassination-style shooting, stood over victim firing six times (ocgnews.com) — A Lawrenceville jury has sentenced a 22-year-old Norcross man to life in prison plus five years for a 2024 assassination-style shooting behind a Jimmy Carter Boulevard gas station. Gwinnett County prosecutors say video evidence and a later confession helped secure convictions for malice murder and related charges, and they hope the verdict brings some solace to the victim's family.
4. HAIRSPRAY to Open at Lawrenceville Arts Center via Pretty as a Penny Productions (broadwayworld.com) — Lawrenceville theater fans can look forward to a high-energy production of Hairspray at the Lawrenceville Arts Center from October 2–24, 2026. 5. 4 Georgia men arrested in 'Operation Vigilant' child predator sting (wsbtv.com) — A Lawrenceville man is among four north Georgia suspects arrested in a Hall County undercover child exploitation sting, where investigators posed online as minors. The men allegedly arranged paid sexual encounters with people they believed were underage and were taken into custody at meeting spots around South Hall County.
