• Lee County school property tax hearings rescheduled; see new dates (walb.com) — Leesburg residents are being asked to weigh in on a proposed 28.7% school property tax increase, with three rescheduled public hearings at the Lee County Board of Education office on Starksville Avenue North. The board says higher millage is tied to the 2026 school budget and recent financial constraints, and these hearings are your chance to comment before the rate is finalized.
   

• No. 4 Lee County faces No. 3 Coffee in Class 6A showdown (albanyherald.com) — Lee County's Trojans, based in Leesburg, head to Douglas this Friday to face unbeaten Coffee in a top-five Class 6A showdown dubbed the "Battle of Highway 32." Coming off their first loss of the season, coaches say the team is refocused, mostly healthy, and preparing for Coffee's powerful run-heavy offense after last year's 35-14 win in Leesburg.
