• City of Lilburn to unveil powerful 9/11 25th Anniversary Remembrance memorial honoring 2,977 killed (ocgnews.com) — Lilburn residents are invited this morning to a 9/11 25th Anniversary Remembrance and permanent memorial dedication at Lilburn City Hall, starting at 8:46 a.m. The city will unveil a World Trade Center steel artifact and a monthlong display of 2,977 hand-folded origami cranes. Local leaders, Parkview's JROTC, and community members will gather to honor lives lost.
   

• Car theft ring hit 25 vehicles with hacked key tool, warrants say (wsbtv.com) — Car owners in Lilburn are among those affected by a Gwinnett County car theft ring that allegedly used a key-programming device to steal at least 25 Infiniti and Nissan Maxima vehicles. Police say suspects targeted several apartment complexes in areas including Lilburn, Lawrenceville, Norcross, Snellville, and Duluth. A locksmith offers practical tips to better secure your vehicle.
