Four More Burglaries Reported Near Rosser Court

Inside the Police Reports: Four other homeowners reported similar incidents near the Dec. 12 burglary surprise.

In addition to the , four other burglaries took place within a mile radius around that time. 

According to Gwinnett County Police reports, two burglaries took place on the same day.

On the 300 block of Little John Drive near Lawrenceville Highway, a 61-year-old woman told police that she left her home at 10 a.m. and returned at 2 p.m. to find the glass window in her carport's door shattered.

Thousands of dollars worth of jewelry had been stolen, she said, including bracelets, necklaces, and her father's watch, which was a family heirloom. An entire drawer filled with financial statements had also been taken from the home.

The other same-day burglary took place down the road on the 500 block of Rockbridge Road, with an estimated time window of 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. The report says the 43-year-old man residing there had thousands of dollars worth of construction tools stolen.

Another burglary took place Dec. 13 on the 5400 block of Copperfield Court near Dickens Road. The woman, 41, noticed pry marks on her back porch's sliding glass door around 3:30 p.m. She reported her desktop computer, monitor, a watch, cash and a box of bullet shells had been stolen.

She believes the burglary took place any time from when she left the home at 6:30 a.m. to when she arrived in the afternoon. The report details every room had been thoroughly searched since every drawer and cabinet had been opened and items had been thrown out.

Lastly, a burglary took place Dec. 9, a few days before the other four incidents. According to the report, an 82-year-old woman and her husband left their home to go to the and around 2:30 p.m.

When they arrived at their residence on the 5100 block of Lost Grove Drive near Harmony Grove Road an hour later, they found their rear French doors open and the front door unlocked. The wife noticed her antique silver dinnerware set and an unknown amount of jewelry had been taken.
