Council members cited the number and scale of buffer and parking variances on the small tract, leaving the project's future in Loganville uncertain.
   

• Obituary: James Walter Muse, 91, of Loganville (monroelocal.org) — Loganville is mourning 91-year-old James Walter Muse, a retired Arlington County fire captain and U.S. Army veteran who later worked for the Department of the Army before enjoying retirement with family and gardening. Local friends can honor him through Tim Stewart Funeral Home on Tom Brewer Road, which is handling arrangements and providing an online guest registry.
