• Athens religious organizations to host Resisting Detention Centers workshop (redandblack.com) — A free Oct. 10 workshop in Athens will help residents learn how to resist and respond to immigrant detention, with a special focus on those held at Stewart Detention Center in Lumpkin. Led by El Refugio director Amilcar Valencia and local interfaith groups, the session invites people of all backgrounds to explore practical, compassionate ways to support detained immigrants and their families.
