• Health inspection scores for Cobb County restaurants and other food services from August 28 to September 3 (cobbcountycourier.com) — Two Mableton spots, Yeah Man Restaurant and Herb's Rib Shack, just received health inspection scores of 91 and 87, respectively, from the Georgia Department of Public Health. The full countywide list lets you quickly check how your favorite nearby restaurants, school cafeterias, and hangouts scored over the past week.
   

• Mableton Volunteers Clean Up Litter Along Buckner Road (cobbcountycourier.com) — Neighbors in Mableton recently teamed up to clear about a dozen bags of litter from their adopted stretch of Buckner Road, with help from the Mableton Improvement Coalition and South Cobb Lions. If you'd like to join future cleanups, Keep Cobb Beautiful's Adopt-A-Mile program offers signs, supplies, and support for local volunteers.
