1. 12 Injured In Shooting At GA Skate Park (patch.com) ā Macon residents are reeling after a late-night shooting at Carolyn Crayton Park's skate park left 12 young people injured, including several teens and two in critical but stable condition. Bibb County investigators say gunfire erupted between two groups during a party, prompting a hospital lockdown as victims and families rushed in, and no arrests had been made as of Sunday.

Travis Tritt Steps Away From Performing To Recover After Pneumonia Diagnosis (countryrebel.com) ā If you had tickets to Travis Tritt's postponed Macon concert, you'll now see him on April 22, 2027, with all existing tickets automatically honored. Tritt is recovering from pneumonia and briefly stepping back from performing, but he expects to resume shows soon and continue touring into next year.

Local UDC chapter attends 131st GA Division Convention in Augusta (timesenterprise.com) ā A Thomasville-based United Daughters of the Confederacy chapter recently attended the Georgia Division's 131st convention in Augusta, where new statewide officers were elected and scholarships and memorials highlighted. Before adjourning, members announced that the 2027 Georgia Division Convention will be held in Macon, bringing this large heritage gathering to the city.

Kemp suspends gas tax for next month to ease prices for Georgians at the pump (wgxa.tv) ā Georgia's governor is suspending the state gas tax for a month, aiming to lower prices at the pump for drivers and farmers as global tensions push fuel costs higher. The move, paired with relaxed truck weight limits, comes as statewide campaigns ramp up, including a visit to Macon by Democratic nominee Keisha Lance Bottoms to promote tax cuts and Medicaid expansion.
