1. Bibb County outreach center works to prevent youth gun violence (41nbc.com) — Youth gun violence in Macon and Bibb County is prompting a push from the Sheriff's Office to reach at-risk kids through its Outreach and Restorative Justice Center. Lt. Reginald Thomas highlights programs like PROPS, Police Athletic League, and "Consider the Consequences," while stressing that parents and community members must stay engaged to guide children toward safer choices.
   

2. Macon-Bibb fire department launches Fire Prevention Week, honors contest winners (wgxa.tv) — Fire Prevention Week is underway in Macon-Bibb, with the county fire department honoring student poster and essay winners and inviting residents to several free safety events, including a big Touch-A-Truck/Safety Day at headquarters. Throughout the week, firefighters will visit local schools and churches, offer home smoke alarm installations, and provide hands-on training on safe charging of lithium-ion batteries and other fire prevention tips.
   

3. 762 firearms stolen in Macon fuel trafficking network facing federal gun, drug charges (wgxa.tv) — Hundreds of guns stolen from a Macon shipping facility helped fuel a trafficking network now at the center of sweeping federal gun and drug indictments. Working with ATF and the FBI, the Bibb County Sheriff's Office helped trace weapons, recover some firearms, and support charges against twenty suspects, while two defendants remain fugitives that authorities urge the public to help locate.
   

4. Relief at the Pump as Gas Prices Ease (wnegradio.com) — Macon drivers are paying about $3.90 per gallon for regular gas, slightly above the Georgia average but below $4 thanks to the temporary suspension of the state gas tax. A 15-gallon fill-up now runs around $58, and prices have dipped from last week even as they remain much higher than a year ago.
   

5. Here's the moment Rick Devens knew he would win 'Big Brother 28' (ktla.com) — A former Macon morning news anchor, Rick Devens, just won "Big Brother 28," taking home a record $810,000 and returning to live with his family in Macon.
