2. Man dead after pedestrian accident in Macon on Thursday, sheriff's office says (13wmaz.com) — A 77-year-old man died after being hit by a car Thursday night near Mercer University Drive and Lilly Avenue in Macon, and investigators are asking anyone who saw what happened to come forward. He was taken to Atrium Health Navicent in Macon, where he was pronounced dead, marking the 16th pedestrian fatality in Bibb County this year.
3. It's fall, y'all: here's some pumpkin patches to visit in Macon and Middle GA (macon.com) — Families in Macon have several nearby spots to pick out fall pumpkins, including Market Square North on New Forsyth Road and options at the Shoppes at River Crossing. The guide also highlights larger pumpkin patches and farms across Middle Georgia, with details on locations, hours, and extra attractions like hayrides, corn mazes, and playgrounds for a full fall outing.
4. Bibb County deputies hunt for three male suspects tied to Rocky Creek Road shooting (wgxa.tv) — Bibb County deputies are asking Macon-area residents to help identify three men linked to a September 11 shooting on Rocky Creek Road, where thankfully no one was hurt. Investigators say multiple men were involved and are urging anyone with information to contact the sheriff's office or Macon Regional Crimestoppers to keep the community safer.
5. Women-Owned Business Market Returns to Macon: Barrington Hall Hosts 3rd Annual Even (41nbc.com) — Macon residents can support women-owned small businesses this Saturday at the third annual Barrington Hall Market at Barrington Hall Golf Club. Running from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., the event features more than 20 local vendors, door prizes, and plenty of handmade gifts, encouraging shoppers to keep their spending and support within the Middle Georgia community.
