12-Year-Old Boy Shot In Cobb

The boy was standing in his family's kitchen Friday night when he was shot, according to Cobb County Police.

MARIETTA, GA — A 12-year-old boy was shot in the stomach while in the kitchen of his home in Mableton over the weekend, according to police.

Cobb County Police were called at about 9:31 p.m. Friday to 5003 White Blvd. There, they found the boy shot. Investigators say the shot came from the rear of the house, possibly through a window.

The boy was taken to Scottish Rite Hospital, where he was listed in critical but stable condition. The investigation into the case is ongoing.

As of Monday morning, police had not released any information about a suspect in the shooting. Anyone with information is asked to contact Cobb County Police at 770-499-3945.
